WHAT ARE WE LEARNING REALLY?

I was sitting at the table discussing various things with my friend.  She was stating that her little grandchild was able to Facetime on her cell phone to her grandparents in Asia.

I replied with the following, and she couldn’t understand what I meant.  She was so thrilled by the fact that they could see her grandaughter, that she missed my whole point.

My statement was, “Isn’t it a shame how everything is texts, and technical correspondence?  We are slowly losing the art of the Human touch.  In hopsitals, they hire people to come and hold the babies to help them thrive, and be nurtured, when they don’t have  any mother present.  That is how important it is to touch.

I fear that soon the Human Touch will be obsolete.  And then we become like Robots.  How do we learn to feel after that?

We even break up relationships now via text.  The Human Condition is dissapearing, and slowly being replaced by technology.

We can even slam the door in someone’s face without lifting anything but our hands to type into a text the word “block this caller”.

We are missing the expressions that tell us if someone is reacting to what we are saying.

Does anyone else find this a little scarey?

Humanity is the wonderful Gift God gave us, and he gave it to us with the ability to cry, laugh, touch, hate, love, and all other things that remind us we are not just animals, but a higher species of intellect.

WE ARE TEACHING PEOPLE TO READ A BOOK BUT NOT BE ABLE TO WRITE ONE….SO THIS IS EVOLUTION?
