I was watching some children at play the other day

I was watching some children at play the other day, actually one child, my grandson.  He is only two years old and his personality already shows he is a bit of a loner, self entertains , and happy little fellow.

Isn’t it wonderful that at that age, they are just finding out who they are, what they can do, and everything is a new experience.

When he falls down, he just whimpers then gets back up and goes at it again. We should learn from  these children.

They have a courage that we don’t know, because they are not yet subjected to criticism, or given their boundaries. They have no idea that there are restrictions as to what they can accomplish.  They haven’t heard the word “No” enough yet, that it limites their curiosity. Every little turn is a new adventure, and one with hope and laughter, and challenge.

They also, have not learned yet to be afraid of what’s around the corner for them. They just go head long into it to see what will happen.

I think that Fear is the one thing, that as adults, we allow to destroy our future and who we are, and where we can go.

Some of us are more fearful of success than we are of failure, because failure is where we are comfortable. And if we take a chance and succeed, we wonder why we waited so long to go down that road.  And then we feel that somehow we don’t deserve it and we go to self destruct, before we begin.  We self destruct by doubt, by procrastination, etc.

We need to be more like the little children.
