HOW WE GROW WITH OUR SOUL

I was having lunch the other day with a very good friend of mine. She was saying that she didn’t get excited any more like she used to.  She ask if I thought that was depression?

I said  “No ” I don’t think it does mean that. I think that your concience starts to connect with the soul, and it starts to recognize who we really are, not what we have or what we can own, but who we are..  It doesn’t lack anything , it is put into our body and waits to receive acknowledgement.  For some of us it takes longer than for others.  But when that connection starts to take place, we find we don’t need the things that we have always sought after to make us content  We feel a peace inside and all  of a sudden we don’t require as much in our lives.  Once our thirst starts to be quenched, we no longer need so much water.

We start to feel that perfection, that quiet silence, that light that is brighter than anything we an imagine.  The things that brought us happiness, told us who we were ie, our car, clothes, nice house etc. start to not be enough, and start to make us feel empty. I think that is when the soul starts to shout at us,….”What do you need ?” I am all things, I am light, purity, peace, love, approval, etc.

The things that can be disposed of, or stolen are not everlasting. I am everlasting. I will be with you until you take that last breath, and beyond. I will not forsake you, I will not betray you, i will not judge you.

I will be your best friend, and will stand by you until the end.

So do I think that is depression when you start feeling as if all of things you worked so hard for, all of the things that made you feel whole, and set your self worth on,  are not making you feel complete. That all of a sudden you realize that there is an emptiness, and you start feeling content, not trying to obtain, but just to be.  I think that is what is truly called “Sprituality” and some of us reach it before others.  Some of us, never reach it and still cling to all of the disposable things in our life. Things that don’t make us happy, but somehow make us feel important.  Better than, or more accomplished than someone else. But they are empty things.

So connect with that spirit inside that is all things to you. It doesn’t need to be fulfilled, it already is complete,  it is just waiting for you to find it, and welcome it home.
